QUEZON City is set to become a meeting point for cocktail enthusiasts as leading bars from Jakarta, Indonesia, team up with local establishments for the inaugural QC Cocktail Jamboree: Jakarta Edition from October 2 to 4.
The three-night international cocktail exchange will feature guest bartending sessions, exclusive cocktail menus, and a closing celebration across the Tomas Morato–Scout area, highlighting the growing cocktail culture of both Quezon City and Jakarta.
Organized primarily by local cocktail establishments in partnership with the Quezon City Tourism Department, the Jamboree will run from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly at participating venues located within a two-kilometer radius of the Tomas Morato Lifestyle District.
Beyond the cocktail experience, the event is expected to draw visitors to the surrounding Scout, Timog, and Tomas Morato areas, providing added support to local bars, restaurants, and other businesses in the neighborhood.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said the event is part of the city’s continuing efforts to promote its attractions and experiences to both local and international visitors.
“We want travelers and tourists to see Quezon City not just as a jump-off point, but as a destination worth discovering—with its own cultural gems, hidden wonders, and rich history,” Belmonte said.
Participating Quezon City establishments include After Hours, 2B, Bar Flora, ReCraft, Ruby’s Lounge, Old Times, Wrong Door, and A.K.A. (Also Known As).
They will be joined by Jakarta-based bars The Cosmo Pony, The Golden Tooth, Dualism, Between The Sips, HATS, Osmo, Modernhaus, and St. Regis Bar, along with other establishments recognized by the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list.
The exchange will give bartenders from Quezon City and Jakarta an opportunity to share techniques, creative ideas, and approaches to cocktail-making while introducing guests to the distinct flavors and styles of both cities.
THREE NIGHTS OF GUEST SHIFTS
The first round of guest bartending sessions will take place on October 2, featuring The Cosmo Pony at Bar Flora, The Golden Tooth at Old Times, Dualism at Wrong Door, and Between The Sips at After Hours.
On October 3, HATS will take over A.K.A., Osmo will be at 2B, Modernhaus will join ReCraft, and St. Regis Bar will host a guest shift at Ruby’s Lounge.
Guests can sample locally crafted cocktails alongside drinks showcasing the techniques and interpretations of Jakarta’s participating bars.
The three-day Jamboree will culminate on October 4 with a gathering of participating bartenders, bar owners, industry professionals, guests, and cocktail enthusiasts.
The closing celebration will feature booths and interactive spaces where attendees can meet participating brands, discover new products, and connect with fellow members of the cocktail and hospitality community.
Through the exchange, organizers aim to strengthen ties between the cocktail communities of Quezon City and Jakarta while showcasing Tomas Morato and its surrounding neighborhoods as a vibrant destination for food, drinks, nightlife, and hospitality.
