In his report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen, Zambales police chief Col. Fitz Macariola identified the arrested as Joemmeir John Leapart alias “Jun Marzan” and his wife Angelica Leapart, both residents of Sitio Bukid, Bgy. Calapacuan, Subic.
Operatives of the Subic and Zambales, along with Philippine Drug Enforcement Unit-Zambales Police Provincial Office, 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted the buy-bust in Sitio Bukid, Bgy. Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales.
Seized from the couple were 14 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu worth P1,544,960, some drug paraphernalia, a green sling bag, and the P3,000 marked money.
Macariola said Joemmeir is listed as a “high-value” target and a member of the “Naldi Drug Group.”
“We are committed to suppress the proliferation of illegal drugs as we support the DILG’s “Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan” (BIDA) program while we continue to run after those who are involved in the illegal drug trade to deter criminality and lawlessness,” Pasiwen said.
