OPERATIVES of the Police Regional Office 4-A on Thursday arrested a ranking official of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army in Calabarzon region during an operation in Baras, Rizal.
PRO4-A director Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. identified the suspect as Antonio Pule alias “Ka Dad/Banjo,” 55.
Pule is described as an Executive Committee member of the CPP-NPA’s Sub-Regional Military Area 4-A and at the same time its supply and finance officer and an NPA platoon leader.
The suspect, who has been identified as the 8th most wanted CPP-NPA personality in Calabarzon region, was arrested on the strength of a warrant for murder and attempted murder issued by Judge Marylou Meneses of the Infanta, Quezon Regional Trial court on October 26, 2021.
Joint personnel of the PRO4-A Regional Mobile Force Battalion, Regional Intelligence Division and Regional Intelligence Unit, the Baras Municipal Police Station, the Rizal Police Provincial Office, the Quezon City Police District, the Philippine Army, the Military Intelligence Group 4 and the Naval Intelligence Security Group tracked down Pule in Southville 9, Phase 2 in Bgy. Pinugay, Baras municipality.
