A possible partnership between American billionaire and SpaceX founder Elon Musk to boost the internet connection in Bataan and in the country is in the offing after Musk’s top managers and Bataan and Freeport Area top officials discussed Wednesday the Starlink satellite services here.
This was revealed today by Bataan congressman Joet S Garcia who said that they had the chance to talk Wednesday with Musk Senior Manager for Government Affairs – Rebecca Hunter and Starlink Market Access Director Ryan Goodnight, in Peninsula Hotel, Makati city.
Congressman Garcia’s companion in the meeting were Gov. Abet Garcia, Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Chairman Atty. Pablo Gancayco and AFAB Administrator Engr. Emmanuel Pineda.

Garcia.
The Bataan solon said they discussed Starlink internet services for Bataan with the possibility of partnership and will become locator in Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).
Cong. Garcia added that the satellite internet constellation under SpaceX of Starlink services, will provide stable and faster internet connection to Bataan and the whole country as well.
Aside from this, Garcia pointed out, they also discussed the Electric Vehicle Act which he himself was pushing as this has something to do with Tesla, owned also by Elon Musk.
“We are moving heaven and earth for this project and partnership for the betterment of Bataan,” added Garcia.
SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk has announced that the company’s Starlink satellite internet service had expanded coverage to Ukraine, providing the war-torn Ukraine government with an alternative secure communications uplink as Ukraine’s military continues to resist invading Russian forces.
Musk said in a tweet the relay towers that Starlink uses to provide Ukraine with internet coverage are likely stationed in neighboring countries, where Russian troops can’t target them.
According to Wikipedia, Musk has a net worth of 267.3 billion USD (2022).
