
A FARMER who went missing was found shot dead and his body was thrown off cliff in Bgy. Dimabuno, Dipaculao, Aurora.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. by Dipaculao police chief Maj. Michelle Paulino identified the victim as Deomedes Nidoy, 58, of Purok 1, Bgy. Mucdol, Dipaculao, Aurora.
Reports showed that the victim left their house in Bgy. Mucdol on a motorcycle to visit his coconut plantation in mountainous Sitio Bisek, Bgy. Dimabuno.
Nidoy failed to return home. His family decided to look for him but along the way, they saw the victim’s motorcycle and later found his lifeless body on the ravine.
Family members sought help from barangay captain Randy Paborian, who informed the police.
During the search, the police found near the victim’s body a cal. .45 live bullet and four empty shells for the gun.
The victim’s sister told police that allegedly, the owner of the adjacent land threatened her brother and a cousin over a land dispute.
Paulino said they are investigating to identify the suspect and the motive for the killing.
