ARMED men wearing bonners shot dead a female kagawad and her husband in their house in San Fernando, Cebu.
Killed were Ma. Louela Dela Cerna Baringui-an and her husband, Pedro Parba Baringui-an, of Sitio Tapok-Tapok, Bgy. Panadtaran.
Louela, 45, was the incumbent barangay councilor of Bgy. Panadtaran in San Fernando.
The victims were about to have their dinner past 8 p.m. on Sunday when around five armed men wearing bonnets arrived and shot them repeatedly before fleeing.
Recovered at the crime scene were spent shells for different kinds of firearms.
Police are pursuing the gunmen and investigating the motive for the killing.
