FIRST Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) and 10 of its locators were named among the top business and real property taxpayers for 2025 by the local government unit (LGU) of Tanauan City, Batangas.
City data showed FPIP and its locators contributed nearly Php700 million in business and real property taxes, forming a significant share of the city’s revenues for the year.
According to FPIP Vice President and Head for Marketing, External Relations, and Communications Ricky Carandang, the recognition highlights the continued partnership between FPIP, its locators and the city.
“FPIP, together with our locators, has demonstrated a strong commitment to the City of Tanauan through our tax contributions. We will continue to support its growth and development,” he said.
Manufacturing firms within FPIP accounted for a significant portion of business tax collections, including First Philec Inc. (3rd), PMFTC Inc. (3rd), Astemo Philippines Corporation (7th), Kerry Manufacturing (Philippines), Inc. (9th), and Uni-President (Philippines) Corp. (10th).
FPIP (4th) and its expansion site, First Industrial Township, Inc. (9th) ranked among the city’s top 10 real property taxpayers. Also in the list were its locators Canon Business Machines (Philippines), Inc. (5th), Shimano (Philippines) Inc. (7th), and WCL Ventures Development, Inc. (8th).
Some companies were also recognized in both business and real property tax categories, reflecting the scale of their operations and their presence in the city. These were Honda Philippines, Inc., a motorcycle assembler and Nestlé Philippines, Inc., a food and beverage manufacturer.
In his message, Mayor Sonny Perez Collantes underscored the private sector’s role in aiding the city deliver quality services across healthcare, education, infrastructure, and livelihood programs for Tanaueños.
“The unique contribution of the private sector plays a significant role in providing these essential services and opportunities for Tanaueños. In line with this, the City Government of Tanauan remains committed to becoming a model city that recognizes the importance of responsible tax compliance and sound fiscal management in building an inclusive and progressive Tanauan,” he said.
Established in 1996, FPIP is a PEZA-registered ecozone in Batangas that is home to over 150 global manufacturing leaders and more than 80,000-strong workforce.
