H.E.L.P Pilipinas, a dedicated organization that rose to prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic, continues its unwavering support to Filipino communities through key programs in Health, Education, Livelihood, and other essential services. With a mission to act as a bridge for more accessible public services, the organization aims to foster meaningful legislation and sustainable initiatives that directly respond to the everyday needs of Filipino families.
At the helm of this movement is Dr. Mildred V. Vitangcol, the founding chairperson and first nominee of the H.E.L.P Pilipinas Partylist. A distinguished medical doctor specializing in Gastroenterology, Dr. Vitangcol is also a seasoned philanthropist and community advocate. Her affiliations with civic organizations such as Rotary, Innerwheel, and Zonta reflect her lifelong commitment to service. Before her retirement in 2022, she served as the President, CEO, and Chairperson of the Board of St. Peter Life Plans, where her visionary leadership earned her global recognition as one of the Empowered Women of the World.
Throughout her career, Dr. Vitangcol has spearheaded community-driven programs focused on maternal and child health, youth education, environmental protection, and access to clean water. Her advocacy also extends to organizations like Physicians for Peace and Operation Smile, which provide free medical services to marginalized communities. She holds advanced degrees in Hospital Administration and Strategic Business Economics and is widely regarded as a multi-awarded leader in both healthcare and social enterprise.
If elected, Dr. Vitangcol pledges to further expand health, education, and livelihood services nationwide. She intends to draw from her extensive background in medicine and public service to craft impactful legislation that uplifts Filipino families, particularly those from underserved sectors.
“We envision a future where no Filipino is left behind in accessing basic services,” Dr. Vitangcol stated. “Our goal is to make a lasting difference in the lives of people through genuine service and purposeful leadership.”
With its proven track record and passionate leadership, H.E.L.P Pilipinas is poised to continue making a meaningful impact in communities across the country.
A Meet and Greet was held on Monday between Vitangcol and her around 150 coordinators and leaders from Calamba. Los Banos, Alaminos, San Pablo and Tanauan at the RSM Restaurant in Bgy. Real, Calamba City, Laguna.
