PURSUANT to a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Quezon City Chapter, the House of Representatives (HRep) on Monday held its third blood donation drive for 2023.
The PRC Quezon City Chapter aims to collect at least 100 units (45,000 cc.) of blood, similar to the amount collected in the earlier blood drive, “Kung hindi man mahihigitan at least mapapantayan yung 106 units (47,700 cc.). But we are expecting and we are hoping na more pa yung ma-collect today and tomorrow so that mas marami pang patients tayong matulungan”, Ms. Maria Carlosa Ancheta, registered medical technologist and blood donor recruitment officer of the PRC Quezon City Chapter, said.

Ms Ancheta urged more people to donate to help more patients. “We are here Philippine Red Cross Q.C. Chapter to encourage everyone and to invite everyone to be with us in celebration of the HRep Month with this blood-letting activity and I hope we are able to save more lives because blood itself is life.”
Mr. Rommel Cuneta, executive assistant of the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms (OSAA) thanked Speaker Ferdinand Romualdez, the OSAA, the HRep Medical and Dental Service and the PRC, “Nagpapasalamat po kami sa lahat ng mga involves offices for hosting this blood-letting activity, for giving the opportunity to House employees and other Members and families of the employees to donate blood, and be heroes.”
