Ilocos Sur – Region 1 Police Director PBGen John C. Chua and Ilocos Sur Governor Jerry Singson today signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the establishment of Tourist Police Outpost for the protection of tourists and resident in the province.
“Security of tourists is essential, especially in Ilocos Sur, where we are flock by tourists daily. And this is also to help, protect and assist visitors who are coming to visit our famous heritage sites,” Singson stated.
The tourist police outposts will be placed in public areas most frequented by tourists.
Also present during the signing were Caoayan Mayor Germelina Goulart, PCol Marlo A. Castillo, PLTCol Louise Benjie Tremor, Police Officers from ISPPO and Police Regional Office
