A Chinese kidnap victim was rescued by the police in an operation in Batangas City.
Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said the woman’s 20-day ordeal at the hands of her kidnappers has ended following her rescue inside a convenience store in Bgy. Alangilan in Batangas City.
Members of the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group, the Batangas City Police Station, and the Police Regional Office 4-A under Brig. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. conducted the rescue operation in Nueva Villa Subdivision in Bgy. Alangilan.

Chinese boyfriend reported to the PNP-AKG in Camp Crame the disappearance of his 28-year-old girlfriend.
The name of the victim was withheld pending investigation.
The boyfriend said the victim was last seen with another friend on the night of September 16 inside the Hammer Disco Light in Bgy. Balibago in Angeles City.
The following day, the two were spotted leaving the premises of the entertainment club.
On September 18, the complainant said that an unidentified caller called him up and demanded US$2 million dollars or roughly P116 million in ransom for her girlfriend’s safe release.
The caller then sent a video clip of the naked victim shouting and crying in pain while being hit with a baseball bat in the different parts of her body.
Operatives immediately launched a rescue operation.
The victim is now under the custody of the PNP-AKG undergoing a debriefing.
