LAB for ALL or the “Libreng Laboratoryo, Konsulta, and Gamot Para sa Lahat” caravan of First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos was launched recently in Batangas.
Batangas Gov. DoDo Mandanas, along with the Batangueños, welcomed the First Lady during the launching of the project at the Regina R. Mandanas Memorial DREAM Zone at the Capitol Compound in Batangas City.
The LAB for ALL aims to deliver free primary healthcare services to communities across the country.
Under the program, there is no need to stand in long lines and avoid going back and forth to hospitals.
It will also serve as a preventive care program as patients will be told of the appropriate and necessary medical interventions.
Mandanas thanked the First Lady for choosing Batangas as the pilot site of the program.
The governor said this reflects the earnest desire for Batangas to become a model province in the implementation of the Universal Health Care Law.
Mandanas said the project was similar to the idea of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to provide every Filipino with affordable and quality health services.
Araneta-Marcos said LAB for ALL is an initiative that will fulfill what her husband promised to bring appropriate medical services to every citizen.
“My husband would always say, it’s important that we prioritize healthcare. The government must bring healthcare to the people. We need to make it easier for them, because a healthy community is a productive community,” the First Lady said.
