THE Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) XII has officially started the Oplan Bantay Pasko 2023 road safety campaign. To ensure safe and convenient travel during the holiday season, the initiative is set to run from December 18, 2023, until January 3, 2023.
Oplan Bantay Pasko, a well-established program by the LTFRB, has become an integral part of holiday preparations for commuters and motorists alike. The campaign focuses on enhancing passenger safety, promoting responsible driving, and ensuring the efficiency of public transportation systems.
As the holiday season brings an influx of travelers, the LTFRB XII is taking proactive measures to address potential road hazards and minimize accidents. Through this initiative, the regulatory board aims to ease traffic congestion, enhance road discipline, and provide a seamless commuting experience in the region. In addition, the LTFRB XII Enforcement Teams will closely monitor major thoroughfares and conduct random inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Regular inspections will also be conducted to check the roadworthiness of PUVs, including brakes, lights, and tires. Furthermore, drivers will be assessed for proper documentation, sobriety, and adherence to traffic rules.
Passengers are encouraged to be vigilant and report concerns or violations to the LTFRB XII’s hotline (083-305-9362) or through this official Facebook page. By actively participating in this joint effort, the public can play a vital role in fostering a safe and secure commuting environment. With Oplan Bantay Pasko 2023 in full swing, the LTFRB XII envisions a holiday season characterized by peace, joy, and hassle-free journeys for all. By adhering to road safety guidelines and cooperating with authorities, commuters can contribute to a harmonious and festive celebration.
