A MAN involved in robbery-extortion was arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by the Batangas City Police Station in Brgy. Kumintang Ilaya, Batangas City on October 25, 2023.
Based on the report of Batangas Police Provincial Office Provincial Director Police Colonel Samson B Belmonte to Police Regional Office CALABARZON Regional Director Police Brigadier General Paul Kenneth T Lucas, the suspect who was identified as alias “Edmarc”, 23 years old, security guard and resident of Brgy. Kumintang Ilaya, Batangas City was nabbed through an entrapment operation conducted by Batangas City Police Station at Brgy. Kumintang Ilaya, of the said City at about 10:30PM of October 25, 2023.
Alias “Edmarc” commanded Php10,000.00 from his victim identified as alias “Jen” and threatened that he will spread the victim’s nude photos if his demand was not met. The operation resulted in the arrest of alias “Edmarc” after receiving cash money amounting to Php10,000.00 (Boodle Money).
Authorities are now preparing appropriate criminal charges to be filed against alias “Edmarc” who is under the custody of Batangas City Police Station.
“I commend the Batangas City Police Station for the abrupt response to this incident. We will continue to conduct such operations to eradicate similar forms of criminality” PCol Belmonte said .
