NAIA T1, T2 offer free pure fiber wifi to air passengers

PASSENGERS at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminals 1 and 2 can now enjoy free pure fiber wifi at the airport as broadband provider Converge on Thursday launched its free broadband program.

Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista said the provision of free fiber network will keep airport passengers and tourists connected with its high-speed network.

In November 2022, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) sealed an agreement with Converge to provide free public wi-fi services in passenger terminals of nine international and domestic airports across the country.

The transport chief also launched the network provider’s free fiber wi-fi at the NAIA Terminal 3 last November 2023.

Secretary Bautista said airport passengers can now enjoy more options with other network providers also providing free wi-fi services at the NAIA.

“This initiative demonstrates successful collaborations with private partners who understand the concept of public service,” he said.
