THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) conducted a vessel tour for the children of Baseco and Batangas onboard BRP Teressa Magbanua (MRRV-9701) and BRP Malabrigo (MRRV-4402) at Pier 13, Port Area Manila, yesterday, 14 October 2023.
Together with PCG Spokesperson, CG Rear Admiral Armand Balilo, the children did not only experienced a vessel tour, but were also able to have a unique opportunity of witnessing life-saving techniques, survival techniques as well as rubber boat capsizing and recovery demonstrated by the Coast Guard Special Operations Force (CGSOF).
Auxiliary Commander Gerald Anderson, PCG Auxiliary Executive Squadron, World Vision, and Star Magic supported the initiative.
Also present during the activity were BRP Teresa Magbanua (MRRV-9701) Commanding Officer, CG Commander Artzell Anacan, and his crew.
