A COMMISSIONED officer of the Philippine Coast Guard commissioned officer on Monday was shot dead in his in-law’s house in Bgy. Banaba Cerca, Indang, Cavite.
Randolph Val Siega died on the spot.
Suspect Jerry Manabat Creus, 55, a Bantay Bayan member and relative of the victim’s wife, was arrested by the police in a follow-up operation.
Creus was on the terrace of his father-in-law, Fernando Panganiban Sr., when shot by the suspect at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
The suspect fled with the gun after the killing.
Witnesses said the victim and the suspect had drinks prior to the killing.
