
Camp BGen Vicente P Lim – THE Police Regional Office CALABARZON, under the leadership of PBGen Paul Kenneth T Lucas, Regional Director, stands ready and vigilant on 2-day declared transport strike by PISTON and Manibela from April 15, 2024 to April 16, 2024.
PBGen Lucas has directed all police provincial directors within PRO CALABARZON to oversee the conduct of the transport strike within their respective areas of responsibility by formulating contingency plans in coordination with local governments and other law enforcement agencies to assist travelers who may be affected by the strike.
Moreover, PRO 4A has organized a Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) poised and prepared for immediate deployment upon orders. While red teaming will be assigned to inspect and visit all places of convergence, and civil disturbance management units were activated to address any potential disruptions.
Citizens of this region are encouraged to stay at home if there is no important matter to attend outside their residence. Meanwhile, PNP and LGU buses and trucks will be utilize to provide for the “Libreng Sakay Program,” offering free transportation services during the strike.
Director Lucas advises the public to anticipate potential travel delays due to PNP checkpoints, coordinated with the Land Transportation Office, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, and Highway Patrol Group. Additionally, expect increased police presence on roads, terminals, and gathering areas to ensure smooth movement of goods and services and uphold safety and security for all road users and the public.
Furthermore, RD Lucas emphasizes and strictly directs all personnel manning checkpoints and conducting police operations to exercise maximum tolerance and respect for human rights. “Sa ating mga kapulisan, maging mahinahon at mapagpasensya tayong lahat sa pagganap natin sa ating mga tungkulin.
