
CAVITE Police Provincial Office director Col. Christopher F. Olazo yesterday said the reward money offered for the informant that would lead police to the killer of a graduating student of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas in Cavite has been raised to P1.1 million.
Olazo said Cavite Gov. Juanito Victor “Jonvic” C. Remulla, Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and the Dasmariñas City government each offered a P300,000 reward for the killer’s capture.
Cavite Rep. Elpidio “Pidi” F. Barzaga Jr. and Dasmariñas City Mayor Jennifer A. Barzaga added P200,000 to the reward money.
The local police identified the suspect as Angelito Erlano alias “Kulet” of Bgy. San Nicolas 2, Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
A search at the suspect’s house resulted in the discovery of some of the victim’s belongings.
Police said the suspect was previously arrested for robbery.
Victim Queen Leanne Daguinsin, a 24-year-old DLSU-Dasmariñas computer science student, was found stabbed 14 times inside her room at the Rolisa Dormitory in Bgy. Sta. Fe in Dasmarinas City. Her belongings were missing.
According to Olazo, any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect may be forwarded thru telephone numbers 0998-598-5587 and 0998-967-3350.
He assured that the identity of the informant will be kept in utmost secrecy.
