SPEAKER Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez expressed his gratitude to the Filipino people for their continued trust and support, as evidenced by the results of the recent OCTA Research survey.
According to OCTA’s “Tugon ng Masa” poll conducted from July 22 to 26, Speaker Romualdez maintained strong majority approval and trust ratings of 55 percent and 54 percent, respectively.
These ratings were widely regarded as a reflection of the trust and confidence that the Filipino people placed in the leadership of the House of Representatives and the legislative agenda pursued by the 19th Congress.
“I am deeply grateful to the Filipino people for their unwavering support and the privilege to serve as Speaker of the House of Representatives. I am committed to working hard to make a positive impact on the lives of our kababayans,” Speaker Romualdez, the leader of the 311-strong legislative chamber, said.
He added: “The 19th Congress will continue to prioritize legislation that promotes economic growth, strengthens our healthcare system, and addresses the pressing concerns of our citizens. We will work together to build a more resilient and prosperous Philippines.”
Speaker Romualdez said he was humbled by the continued support of the public and remained committed to fulfilling his duties and responsibilities with utmost dedication and integrity.
Recognizing that these ratings came during challenging times, Speaker Romualdez was firmly committed to working with his fellow House members to address these issues and pave the path toward a brighter future for all Filipinos.
The House chief said he looked forward to collaborating with his colleagues, stakeholders, and the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Romualdez Marcos Jr. to achieve these goals and ensure that the interests and welfare of the Filipino people remained at the forefront of legislative efforts.
The Tugon ng Masa is a non-commissioned survey that employed face-to-face interviews with a representative sample of 1,200 adult respondents nationwide.
