THE alleged leader of the group that killed two anti-drug members of the Mabalacat City Police Station yesterday died in a shootout with the police in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig, Gen. Cesar Pasiwen identified the suspect as Kenneth Flores.
Flores, who was tagged as the leader of the Flores Group, attempted to escape and fired at the police officers serving a warrant of arrest for double murder at Sitio Dungan in Bgy. Tabun, Mabalacat.
Officers retaliated.
The suspect was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
The Flores Group shot dead the two Mabalacat anti-drug cops last December 3, 2022.
Recovered at the clash site were one cal. .45 pistol and a hand grenade.
Pasiwen lauded his men for another intelligence-driven accomplishment.
The official said justice is now finally served to the murdered policemen.
“We did not stop conducting operations against those involved on the deaths of our two PNP personnel and all our efforts paid off,” the Central Luzon top cop said.
