CHILDREN vaccinated at the famous Splash Island will get one year free entrance and accommodation at the famous waterpark in Binan, Laguna.
Binan City Mayor Arman Dimaguilan made the announcement during the launching of Resbakuna for Kids aged 5 to 11 at Splash Island located along South Luzon Expressway last Wednesday.
Elated parents and kids thanked the mayor and the management of the splash park for the offer.
“Lahat po ng bata na magpapakuna dito sa Splash Island ay bibigyan namin ng isang taong libre sa Splash Island. Ito po ay courtesy ni Sonny Torres. Nais ko rin pong ipabatid sa lahat na bukas na ang Splash Island at maraming mga bagong amenities kayong ikatutuwa,” the mayor said.
Torres, owner of Splash Island, thanked Dimaguila for helping them cope with the pandemic.
He said during the pandemic, Dimaguila sent personnel to Splash Island to help maintain the cleanliness of the waterpark.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako kay mayor sa lahat ng naitulong niya. Malaki ang naging kawalan hindi lamang sa akin ngunit higit lalo sa mga tao ko na noong una ay pera lang ang hinihiram pero bandang huli ay bigas na,” Torres said
According to him, they lost around P100 million due to COVID-`9 pandemic and the launching of the Resbakuna for Kids served as the formal reopening of Spash Island after two years.
“Ito pong bakunahan ang aming formal opening. Ang Binan po ay prime city at nais nating bigyan ng pagasa ang ating kabataan sa pamamagitan ng pagbabakuna,” Torres said
A total of 144 pre-registered children were vaccinated during the event launched in partnership with the local government of Binan.
Aside from Splash Island, Southwoods Mall and the Alberto Mansion were designated as vaccination sites in the city to help the government fight the dreaded virus.
