THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported the arrest of another 3 suspected fake Filipinos on separate operations in Pampanga conducted by its intelligence agents.
The arrest is in compliance with the directive of President Ferdinand ‘Bong Bong’ Marcos Jr. to ensure the strict implementation of immigration laws against illegal aliens.
BI Commissioner Joel Viado shared the arrest of male Chinese national Lin Yi, 35, last July 31 at a business establishment along Pandan Road in Angeles City, Pampanga.
The arrest stemmed from an anonymous complaint against Lin, who was found running a carwash business in the area. He was reported by the complainant to have been using a Philippine identity in his business dealings. The BI received a copy of Lin’s Philippine birth certificate, which was suspiciously registered late, a Philippine identification card, and an official receipt for a Philippine driver’s license.
He was also found to be in possession of a working visa valid until 2027 under his Chinese identity.
Meanwhile, arrested in a residential unit along Sarmiento St. in Malabanias, Angeles City, Pampanga was Yan Yize, 30. Also arrested on Brgy. Panipuan in Mexico, Pampanga was Wang Jiangyi, 55.
Both were reported by government intelligence forces to be using Philippine identities, and allegedly possessed late-registered Philippine birth certificates, BIR TIN identification, and business registrations with the Security and Exchange Commission. They are said to be linked to a construction and development corporation allegedly used as a vehicle for land acquisition activities.
Viado slammed the continuous proliferation of illegally-acquired Philippine documents being used by illegal aliens in business dealings in the country.
“The illegal use of Philippine documents is a national security issue that must be addressed at its roots,” said Viado. He stated that they are submitting reports to the Department of Justice, to initiate investigation on the sources of these illegally-acquired documents.
All 3 suspected fake Pinoys will remain in the BI’s custody pending deportation proceedings
