
WITH energy, colors, and cheers filling the morning air, the Department of Health (DOH) β Ilocos Region joined the Department of Trade and Industry β Region 1 in celebrating the vibrant and fun-filled βππππΒ πππΒ πππππππππΒ π¬πΒ ππππππΒ πππππππππ!β Color Fun Walk and Zumba highlighting the Consumer Welfare Month Celebration on October 9, 2025, at the Baywalk Poropoint, San Fernando City, La Union.Β
The event kicked off at 5:30 AM with a fun walk and Zumba session, bringing together hundreds of health advocates, local residents, partner agencies, and community leaders β all wearing white shirts and ready to get soaked in fun, color, and movement.
Regional Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco said that the celebration is more than just fun and fitness β itβs a strong message that every Filipino consumer has the power to choose health, protect the environment, and become an active part of the nationβs progress.β
She likewise extended her gratitude to all participants, partner agencies, and volunteers who made the event a success.
βTogether, we show that in a Bagong Pilipinas, ππππ πππ πππππππππ!,β she exclaimed.
In line with the Consumer Welfare Month 2025 celebration, this initiative aimed to promote not only physical health and wellness through dance and exercise, but also consumer awareness, environmental responsibility, and active citizen participation in building a “Bagong Pilipinas”.
Participants proudly brought their own reusable water tumblers, showing their support for eco-friendly practices as βGreen Champions.β
The event also highlighted DOH Ilocos Regionβs ongoing efforts to encourage sustainable habits and community engagement in promoting public health.
