THE first Monday of November began with enthusiasm and dedication as the Akay ni Gob Action Center, headed by Marlon Vendivel, led the flag ceremony at the Laguna Provincial Capitol, Time Plaza.
In his message, Vendivel emphasized the continuing commitment of the Akay ni Gob Action Center to provide fast and compassionate assistance to Lagunenses despite limited resources. Quoting his heartfelt words, “Marami pero kulang, kulang, pero kumpleto,” Vendivel highlighted the dedication of his team to serve with integrity and heart truly reflecting the vision of Governor Sol Aragones’ GOByernong may SOLusyon.
Vendivel also shared updates on the center’s ongoing programs and community engagements, reaffirming their goal to deliver efficient public service and respond promptly to the needs of every citizen.
Representing Governor Sol Aragones, Former Vice Mayor of Luisiana, Luibic Jacob, followed with the Governor’s message and a recap of last week’s key activities. Among the highlights was the inspection of Laguna Medical Center, where Governor Aragones approved the increase of patient food allowance from ₱150 to ₱200 per day, ensuring improved nutrition and care for hospital patients.
Jacob also reported the assessment of areas along the West Valley Fault, a proactive measure to enhance disaster preparedness and community safety. He further announced that Cabuyao City will soon have its own dialysis center in Barangay Mamatid, bringing accessible and affordable healthcare closer to residents.
In addition, Jacob extended the Governor’s gratitude to the Municipal Sol Ladies (MSL) who rendered duty during the Undas observance, distributing snacks and refreshments to cemetery goers a simple act of service that reflects genuine care for the public.
The ceremony also featured Dr. Eric Tayag, who gave timely reminders on flu vaccination and preventive healthcare. To promote fitness and positivity among employees, the Akay ni Gob Action Center presented a lively exercise number, energizing the employees
Capping off the event, the Akay ni Gob Action Center recognized its own dedicated members through the Gawad ng Pagkilala, honoring the Best Team Award and Employee of the Month for September, a tribute to the outstanding performance and teamwork
