LAGUNA —GOVERNOR Sol Aragones on Monday officially launched the “Isumbong Mo Kay Gob” Program, introducing 90 newly trained Help Desk Officers who will assist patients and health workers in hospitals across the province. The initiative aims to simplify hospital processes and ensure faster, more compassionate responses to public concerns.

The help desk officers, who underwent interviews and training, are officially starting their duty on Monday, September 8, 2025. They are expected to guide patients and respond to inquiries with patience and professionalism.

The Governor stresses that beyond skills and training, the most important quality required of the officers is compassion. “Unang requirements ay may puso sa paglilingkod,” Aragones emphasizes.

The initiative gains strong backing from Dr. Odilon Inoncillo, OIC of the Provincial Health Office, and Dr. Eric Tayag, Laguna Health Consultant and Chief of Directors of the nine district hospitals. Dr. Tayag also reminds the officers of Executive Order No. 1, issued by Gov. Aragones, which prohibits rudeness in public service. “Pangunahin hangarin ay lahat tayo nakangiti,” Dr. Tayag tells the officers, underscoring the importance of kindness in public health.

Gov. Aragones further announces support measures for the new officers. “Minamadali ko na po ang hazard pay nila,” she assures, adding that each help desk will have its own cellphone and load allowance.

Since many of the officers are youth, the Governor also promises an initial allowance to support them as they begin their responsibilities. She highlights that the help desk is designed to serve both patients and health workers, ensuring a two-way process of care and assistance.

With the official launch of the “Isumbong Mo Kay Gob” Program, Laguna strengthens its commitment to a more compassionate and responsive health care system under the leadership of Gov. Sol Aragones.
